About Me

I’m Fr Lawrence Lew and I am a member of the Order of Preachers - also known as the Dominican friars - who enjoys using photography as a form of preaching God’s beauty. Since 2005 I have been actively taking photos and have posted some of my photos online at Flickr; a number of them have been reproduced in print and online. I have also written for several blogs including Godzdogz, and the New Liturgical Movement, and I try to respond to Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis’ call for us Catholics to preach the mercy and love of God online.

As a Catholic priest and Friar Preacher, I enjoy preaching sermons during the Liturgy and also enjoy reading them. So, with permission from my superiors, I decided to share some of my homilies online here, and I am grateful for your comments/feedback.

I am currently assigned as an assistant Catholic chaplain for the Universities of Edinburgh, Napier, and Queen Margaret in Edinburgh, Scotland. Most of my preaching is done in this context at daily Mass here in St Albert’s Priory and Chaplaincy. Occasionally, I will also post some of the talks and reflections I am invited to give.
